The Village

Toft Hill and Etherley are villages close to the town of Bishop Auckland. The area was predominately coal mining in the past and boasts attractive views over Wear Valley.

The Hall

Toft Hill and Etherley Community Centre was built in 1928 and in 1938 was given an official opening by the Duke of Kent. The size and layout of Toft Hill and Etherley Community Centre makes it an ideal choice for private and business functions. The hall is available for hire for: • Meetings/Seminars • Social Events • Fairs and Sales • Rehearsals • Training • Functions • Stage Productions/Concerts • Sports Classes • Dances There is also a sports field (football pitch size) available. Regular activities ongoing in the hall include WI, dancing, a toddler group and football during the season on the grounds.
