The Village

Ovington is a small village edged on its northern border by the River Tees. It is situated in a very rural area and is also known as the ‘Maypole Village’ due to the presence of a maypole in the centre of the village.

The Hall

Ovington Village Hall is a traditional wooden building situated at the edge of the village.

The size and layout of Ovington Village Hall makes it an ideal choice for private and business functions. The hall is available for hire for:

Maximum Capacity: 70 in main hall

Facilities: This small hall has kitchen facilities including a microwave and cooker. The committee room is ideal for small meetings or training.

Equipment: The hall has adequate chairs and tables and there is ample crockery and cutlery available. The hall also has carpet bowls and table tennis equipment.

Parking: Designated car park with 6 spaces plus 3 spaces in lay-by.

Access: Wheelchair ramps to main entrance and fire exit

Hire Charges:
Non village hirings: full day £50.00, half day £25.00, two hours (or less) £15.00

Private parties: village residents £15.00, non village hirings £20.00

Charities/fundraising events: £15.00

The following items may be hired from the village hall at £5 per hiring plus a refundable deposit of £10.00 for each hire:

Teapots
Water heater
Chairs may be hired at 50p each
