Heighington Village Hall Association

Heighington Village Hall is an excellent centre for the local community
& a very popular venue for parties, weddings, meetings, conferences, and other events.

Come & Join us at our ‘Saturday Café’ held each month on the second Saturday [11:00am – 2:00pm]

and enjoy wonderful home baked lunches.

Each of our two Halls are fully accessible with wheelchair access plus ramp to the New Hall plus a Wheelchair accessible toilet.

      • Large working kitchen Including 900mm Range Hob/Oven, Microwave plus full range of crockery & cuttlery for 120.
      • Dispensing Constant Hot Water Boiler [For tea & coffee on tap!]
      • Hall Perfectly suited to functions either on its own or used in conjunction with the ‘New Hall’ [see below] Tables & Chairs also available included in the hire fees.
      • Male & Female Toilets & Washrooms
      • Disabled Toilet & Child changing facility
      • PA / music System available as an extra facility if required
    • ‘New Hall’
      • A Large Hall measuring: Approximately 12M wide X 12M long
      • Stage can be included in hire if required

    • We hold a public entertainment license; however, we are not licensed for the sale of alcohol. The hirer can of course apply for a TEN [Temporary Events Notice] through the local authority if you wish to sell alcohol at your event.
    • Maximum Capacity [As per premises licence] is:
      • Old Hall = 90
      • New Hall = 160
      • Maximum Capacity = 250

Event Information:

  • What We Do

    The Consortium’s key role is to support our member village halls and community centres. We are committed to providing our member halls with the following:

    Advice and guidance on any issue relating to the running of their community building
    One to one help and support
    Publicity and advertising of events
    Marketing assistance
    A small grants fund for capital and revenue projects
    Partnership working with relevant organisations for the benefit of member halls
    Resources including booking forms and equipment hire
    Useful and relevant information
    Representation of TVHC at/on relevant meetings and groups
    A minimum of three open general meetings per year for all member halls to attend
    Events Promotion

    The Consortium promotes events happening in the Teesdale area. We promote the events in many different ways; being involved in this promotion means we can ensure that as much publicity as possible is given to events taking place at the village halls helping to generate income for the halls by attracting more people.
