Summerhouse is a tiny hamlet on the outskirts of Teesdale in the Darlington borough, set in rolling agricultural land south of Heighington. The village has a population of around 70 and the village hall is the centre of the settlements which have no other community services.

Parking: There is a designated car park with 30 spaces and 4 accessible spaces, and roadside parking is also available.
Access: There is access for all into the hall. An hearing induction loop is in place.
