Three Peaks of Yorkshire Challenge Success!

Three Peaks group

A group of fifteen people from Teesdale, including Teesdale Village Halls Consortium's Marketing Officer Helen Thistlethwaite, spent twelve hours trudging 26 miles and climbing to the summit of three mountains to raise more than £2,000 for the Teesdale branch of Cancer Research UK. They set off early in the morning to Ingleton, North Yorkshire to tackle the famous Three Peaks of Yorkshire: Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough.

Pam Ashmore, secretary of the Teesdale branch of Cancer Research UK said:
"It was a wonderful effort by all the walkers, and we are delighted to receive such a boost for our funds."

The challenge was organised by Andy Brown and Helen Thistlethwaite, who did the trek along with Victoria Russell, Mike Dodgson, Alan Bradley, Paul King, Peter Anderson, Pauline Hicks, Tom Hicks, Mike Berriman, Claire Cantwell, Pete Williamson, John White, David Martin and Brenda Thwaites who is the treasurer of the Teesdale branch of Cancer Research UK.
