The Active Communities Minibus

The Active Communities Minibus in partnership with Weardale Community Transport Limited

There is a new, fully accessible minibus available to help the communities in Teesdale and Wear Valley live a healthier lifestyle. It has 14 seats (plus the driver), wheelchair access via a power lift through the rear door and can carry up to 2 wheelchairs. The minibus is funded by the Big Lottery Fund and Durham County Council.

If you are a community group in Teesdale, Weardale or Wear Valley then you are eligible to make use of the bus.

To make a booking, simply ring the bus operator Weardale Community Transport Limited on 01388 528777 (Mobile 07749 610445 after 5.00pm).

The bus can be driven by your own organisation's volunteer if trained to Midas standard or if you do not have a suitably qualified person available, Weardale Community Transport will make every effort to provide a driver for you.
