Gilling West is a picturesque village situated south of the busy A66 Trunk Road and three miles north of Richmond.


The Hall

The village hall is located in the centre of Gilling West and adjoining it is the John Ross Suite Education and Conference Centre which is available for hire by schools, colleges and businesses. The size and layout of Gilling West Village Hall make it an ideal choice for private and business functions. The hall is available for hire for: • Meetings/Small Conferences • Training • Parties • Sports Classes • Functions • Social Events etc. Regular activities ongoing in the hall include yoga, pilates, weight watchers and puppy socialisation classes

Features

Rooms: Main Hall with stage 40' x 90', kitchen, meeting room and computer room. Heating: Available throughout hall Maximum Capacity: Main Hall – 100, meeting room - 24, computer room - 13 Facilities: The modern kitchen facilities include fridge, freezer, cooker and water boiler. There is also a facility to hire tablecloths. The John Ross suite has a seminar room with interactive whiteboard, ceiling digital projector and wireless broadband access. There are also toilet facilities available to all. Equipment: There are adequate chairs and tables and ample crockery and cutlery is available. Parking: There is a designated car park with six parking spaces and roadside parking opposite the main entrance. Access: There is access for all into the hall, but there are three steps up to the stage. This is your opportunity to come along to your local village hall and enjoy a sociable couple of hours every Tuesday and Wednesday during the open hours now adopted by the Post Office. Have a copy and a chat...meet up with other local people...make new friends...borrow, buy or donate books...and support your village hall.

Gilling West is situated to the right of the A66 as you travel towards Scotch Corner from Barnard Castle. It is signposted from the A66.
