The Village

Gainford is conveniently situated between Barnard Castle and Darlington on the A67. It is a pleasant and picturesque old village on the slope of a hill which falls gradually to the Tees.

The Montalbo Village Hall in Gainford dates back to the 18th century and was given to the village in 1956. The size and layout of the Montalbo Village Hall make it an ideal choice for private and business functions.

Facilities: These include convenient 12 section portable steel and wood staging and an ample kitchen that includes tables, cooker and water boiler. There is also an upstairs computer room with access to the Internet and printing facilities.

Equipment: The village hall holds a large amount of equipment for all needs including snooker tables, adequate chairs, tables, crockery and cutlery.

Parking: Designated car park with 5 parking spaces. There is also ample parking on the village green.

Access: The hall is on two floors – no wheelchair access upstairs.
