Hadrian Trust

The Hadrian Trust aims to help social welfare and other charitable organisations and individuals in need within the area of the old counties of Durham & Northumberland, between the Tees & the Tweed.

The main headings under which applications are considered are: -

  • Social welfare
  • Youth
  • Women
  • Elderly people
  • People with disabilities
  • Ethnic minorities
  • The environment
  • The arts
  • Education

Applications on behalf of organisations should be sent by letter to the Correspondent. (There is no application form.) The letter should set out concise details of the project, the proposed funding, and a list of any other applications being made, with result if known. A copy or summary of the latest annual report & accounts should be included. Eligible applications will be acknowledged, and this will give a date when the application will be considered. Cheques are sent to successful applicants within two weeks of the meeting. No further correspondence is sent to unsuccessful applicants.

Meetings and Events
The Trustees meet quarterly, usually in January, April, July & October to consider applications.
