    The Village

    Dalton and Gayles Village Hall is situated at the edge of the village of Dalton and a mile away from the village of Gayles, just off the A66 and lies equal distance between the towns of Richmond and Barnard Castle.

    The Hall

    Dalton and Gayles Village Hall has just finished the latest and most expensive renovation work in its illustrious history. The Hall is now fit for the 21st Century with newly insulated walls and ceilings, energy-efficient electric radiators, low-energy light fittings, a coat of paint and a varnished wood floor giving this former RAF building a fantastic new lease of life.

    Features

    The hall has two main rooms, a kitchen, and toilets including disabled. The main room has a stage with lighting, PA system and is suitable for a variety of events while the small “supper” room is an adequate size for smaller functions.

    Regular activities include cub, beavers and scouts, Zumba, tai chi, Yorkshire Countrywomen’s Association, wine circle, sewing club and many
    more. Dalton Amateur Dramatics hold a very successful pantomime during half-term usually in February.

    Rooms:

    Main room -18m by 8m with a stage and lighting. The stage is 6m by 4m in size and is suitable for discos, bands and performing arts groups. A bar is also situated in this room. The hall has adequate supplies of tables and chairs. Maximum Capacity: 250 people

    Supper Room - 6m x 5m which is adjacent to the kitchen. Capacity: 30 people

    Kitchen - fully equipped with cooker, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, boiling water heater. It has an adequate supply of crockery and cutlery.

    Access:
    The Hall is at ground level only. There are no steps.

    Disabled
    There is a toilet for the disabled.

    Heating: Brand new energy efficient electric heating throughout the hall.

    Parking:
    There is adequate parking outside the hall.

    Hire Charges:

    • Main Hall Commercial Events £12 per hour
    • Supper Room Commercial Events £10 per hour
    • Locals’ Events, children’s parties etc. £8 per hour
    • Half day at weekend £40.00
    • Weddings etc. (Friday, Saturday & Sunday) £120.00
