CRB Checks Service


The Consortium is offering a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) application checking service to voluntary and community organisations in Teesdale. Pam Turnbull for TVHC, has been trained as an appointed person to assist volunteers applying to have a CRB check carried out.
Fair Play offers policy advice for people operating organisations relating to children and play.
HOW IT WORKS

People who work unsupervised with children or vulnerable adults should be CRB checked. You will be assisted with completing a disclosure application form and your required identification documents will be checked (you will be provided with a full list of the documents the CRB will accept).

TVHC is working with CAVOS (Community and Voluntary Organisations Spennymoor) which is a registered body with the CRB. Once your forms have been completed they will be checked over by a trained member of CAVOS staff and sent to the CRB. Applications will take 6 - 8 weeks to process.
